Your go-to list of the best things to shop, see and experience.
01 | Customised sneakers by Dior
Remember those customised Dior sneakers you saw everywhere during the ABCDior pop-up some time ago? Good news: the service is now permanently available at Dior’s ION Orchard Singapore boutique. One of three boutiques in Southeast Asia to offer this personalization service, you can get your Walk’n’Dior sneakers embroidered with three alphabets of your choosing on the back of your shoes. After all, you shouldn’t have to wear what everyone else has.
Now available at Dior ION Orchard Singapore boutique.
02 | HUGO’s pop-up at Jewel Changi Airport
“Sportswear, but make it fashion!” If you’ve ever said this before, then this one’s for you. From now till 20 October, the unmissable reverse-logo HUGO collection makes a pit stop at Jewel Changi Airport. Expect to find the brand’s line of athleisure pieces — from red tracksuits and simple tees to accessories such as utilitarian backpacks and clean, white sneakers — for your browsing pleasure.
From now till 20 October, at Jewel Changi Airport (outside Birds of Paradise).
03 | YSL Beauté teams up with Zoë Kravitz
Red lipstick has always had a long (and controversial, at times) history. From the suffragettes who wore it as a sign of political defiance to its use by Old Hollywood actresses who wanted a way to alter the shape of their lips, it is an iconic beauty item that is now a projection of strength, glamour and style. YSL Beauté has partnered up with actress Zoë Kravitz to launch a lipstick collection. Available in six colours and three finishes — three nude tones and three red tones spread across matte, shimmery and satiny textures.
Available at all YSL Beauté stores.
04 | IWC unveils a retrospective exhibition
There is beauty to be found in history, which makes the IWC retrospective exhibition a visual treat. From 14 to 27 October, the Swiss watch manufacturer is partnering up with Sincere Fine Watches to showcase archived references that aim to trace the evolution of IWC’s Pilot, Portugieser and Portofino lines. Some pieces — like the Savonette Lady’s Pocket Watch “Jones” from 1879 — are leaving Switzerland for the first time, so be sure to catch a glimpse when it arrives on our shores.
14 to 27 October 2019, at Level 1 Main Atrium Takashimaya Shopping Centre. Visit the website for more information.
05 | World Press Photo Exhibition 2019
If a picture says a thousand words, then the World Press Photo Exhibition 2019 will have a lot to say. Showcasing the finest examples of photojournalism from the 62nd annual World Press Photo contest, the exhibition zooms into the latest social and political international news told through the lens of these photographers. You will leave thinking about what you’ve just witnessed.
From now to 27 October 2019, at the National Museum of Singapore. Visit this link for more information.
