Tying The Knot

A Wedding That Played A Lifetime of Love Stories

As told by Pamela Ng and Evans Sin

A Wedding That Played A Lifetime of Love Stories

White and pink blooms of hydrangeas, roses and eustomas filled the ballroom of Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore with an air of romance. Two well-established florists, including Floral Magic, were hired to display the resplendent bouquets in tall glass vases at every table and a gorgeous arch for the wedding couple to walk through for their march-in.

Saying “I do”

After six years of dating, Pamela Ng, dressed in her sensual wedding gowns from Milla by Lorenzo Rossi (a collaboration between Italian designers Milla Nova and Lorenzo Rossi), and Evans Sin finally tied the knot at the Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore. It was not without meticulous planning though. Pre-wedding videos were planned and shot months ahead, one against the picturesque backdrop of rustic scenes in Sydney during autumn, and another of childhood photos accompanied with the voice-over of the couple, each telling anecdotes of their childhood in a tribute to their parents having brought them up. While Sin revealed how his parents used to nurse him to health painstakingly as he was a sickly child, Ng told of how her father Henry Ng used to be so busy building up his family business at Pan-United Corporation he always lamented that he wished he had more time for his family.

In between, the couple danced into the ballroom to the applause of 260 guests. Before the wedding affair ended, Sin sprang a surprise when he played on the piano — having practised in secrecy despite his frenetic schedule as AVP of project finance at Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation — in a tribute to his new wife and his mom, who took great pains to make sure he always learned his classical music well.
