THE STARS ARE OUT TONIGHT
12 Most Outstanding Looks At The 63rd Annual Grammy Awards
We present to you 12 of our favourite looks seen on the 63rd Grammy Awards.
The 63rd Grammy Awards was largely a virtual event thanks to the pandemic. So A-listers from the music industry made sure that their attendance was well worth the risk, wearing outfits to the red carpet that were nothing short of show-stopping. Not sure where to begin? We narrowed the list down to 12 memorable looks from our favourite entertainers.

Dua Lipa
The 25-year-old pop sensation looked absolutely stunning in this sparkly Versace number. The dazzling crystal-studded chainmail dress also features a butterfly design at the bodice, lending the look an ultra-feminine touch. Lipa was heard saying that she felt “like a princess” and was “thrilled” to grace the event in this outfit.

Harry Styles
Could Harry Styles be paying tribute to Cher Horowitz with the yellow checkered jacket from Gucci? Possibly. To make the look his own, the former One Direction member accessorised in good style with a lilac feather boa wrapped around his neck.

Doja Cat
At first glance, Doja Cat‘s ensemble seems like yet another glamorous gown seen on the red carpet. But details such as the motorcycle jacket bodice, cat claw zippers and neon feather skirting made it one of the more interesting looks of the evening. She completed the outfit with a plunging neckline, and was heard saying that it was very “out there”. And honestly, we wouldn’t have had it worn any other way.

Billie Eilish
Billie Eilish showed off her signature tomboy style on the Grammys red carpet, decked in a pink-and-grey printed baggy shirt, pants, and bucket hat combo from Gucci. The 19-year-old Therefore I Am crooner is known to shy away from revealing getups (think: exposed legs, cleavage, and back among others) and choosing baggier cuts to avoid being sexualised by the public.

BTS
Instead of turning to the usual flashy garbs that we’re used to seeing them in, BTS collectively opted for a more toned-down aesthetic for this year’s Grammys. Virgil Abloh custom designed the looks, merging athleisure with tailoring that none can pull off better than the record-breaking K-pop septet. While V and RM wore tailored pieces in camel shades, the rest kept it modern and cool in black-and-white ensembles.

Taylor Swift
Looks like Taylor Swift is ready to welcome spring. The three-time Album of The Year winner (a first for female artists) stepped onto the red carpet in an Oscar de la Renta tulle mini dress adorned with romantic blooms. She completed the look tastefully with a pair of baby pink peep toe pumps from Christian Louboutin.

Megan Thee Stallion
Before snagging three awards that night (inlcuding one for Best New Artist), Megan Thee Stallion stunned the crowd in this burnt-orange number from Dolce & Gabbana. The old Hollywood glamour look was punctuated with sparkly haute jewellery from Chopard, including a diamond necklace that featured 91.70ct worth of diamonds set in 18k white gold.

Trevor Noah
Unlike other celebrities on the red carpet that evening, the The Daily Show host opted for a classic look with a sharp black tuxedo from Gucci. We’re not sure if the dazzling $35,000 Tiffany & Co. Schlumberger Apollo Brooch (featuring diamonds set in 18k yellow gold and platinum) was meant to complement his outfit or his smile. But either way, the ensemble was an effortless hit.

Lizzo
All eyes were on Lizzo when she stepped on the red carpet that evening. The 32-year-old Good As Hell performer turned heads in a ruched seafoam green retro-glam Balmain number. She kept her hair sleek and chic, and complemented her dazzling outfit with diamond-encrusted high jewellery from Bvlgari’s Serpenti collection, including two wrap bracelets, a pair of earrings and a statement necklace, among others.

Noah Cyrus
This ensemble has been likened to “a piece of popcorn”, a fluffy duvet and a scrunchie, among many other ruthless jokes. But we insist that there was something about this voluminous cream-coloured Schiaparelli Couture gown that veered towards something more classy, like The Birth of Venus by Sandro Botticelli. In any case, this was surely a refreshing fashion choice for the younger Cyrus sister.

Bad Bunny
Antonio Martínez Ocasio, also known as Bad Bunny, turned to streetwear for inspiration for his gothic red carpet look. While the Puerto Rican rapper’s all-black Burberry by Riccardo Tisci ensemble seemed menacing and dramatic at first glance, he softened the look with an animal beanie for a child-like charm. He also injected the look with a pop of colour with his yellow-tinted Bonnie Clyde sunglasses and a sunflower in hand, the latter being one of the most talked about accessories of the evening.

Finneas O’Connell
Dusty pink is not an easy colour to pull off, especially for a tuxedo. Yet, Finneas managed to make it work in good fashion with his laidback charm. The romantic look from Gucci was styled with chunky accessories and a pair of structured dress shoes that added a rock-star edge to the look.
