Parisian high jewellery maison Van Cleef & Arpels heralds the arrival of the most wonderful time of the year with new additions to its scintillating Diamond Breeze collection. Predominantly made up of diamond-set designs from some of its most emblematic lines — such as Frivole, Alhambra and Lotus — the collection features three new Lotus designs: a Between the Finger ring, pendant and earrings.
A symbol of beauty, purity and completion, the lotus flower has inspired the maison since the late 1920s. Reinterpreted in 2001 as an original multi-floral aesthetic first seen on a Between the Finger ring, it has since become a recurring theme in the contemporary Lotus collection.
This year, Van Cleef & Arpels offers a new Between the Finger ring design that features four lotus flowers. Deliberately angled upwards and arranged in varying heights, they appear as if they are caught in a gentle breeze. In the pendant, three flowers of varying sizes come together in a radiant cluster thanks to its openwork structure.
Finally, a pair of earrings decorated with three lotus flowers on each side completes this sparkling ensemble. Painstakingly fashioned in a way to best reflect light, the use of bead and prong settings further elevate their dazzling impact.
Captured through the expert lens of photographer Erik Madigan Heck, a long-time collaborator of the maison, these new additions to the Diamond Breeze collection take on an otherworldly charm in a magical winter wonderland setting. Together with other designs from the collection, they form a winter garden of enchanted blooms.
