Swarovski
Christmas is extra special this year because Swarovski is celebrating its 125th anniversary, and the Swarovski Holiday Collection pays tribute to the brand’s storied legacy. Comprising the Sparkling Dance Collection and Magic series, as well as reimagined and refreshed designs in its well-received selections, the Swarovski Holiday Collection reflects the brand’s expertise in trend curation and its dedication to craft and glamour.
Exclusively for Raffles City shoppers, Raffles City is giving out the exclusive Harley Pierced Earrings Silk from Swarovski with a minimum spend of $600 at any store, while stocks last.
For added festive sparkle, Swarovski is partnering with Raffles City on the Swarovski Christmas Tree, which lights up on 12 November and illuminates the area until 31 December. A homage to the 125th anniversary, decorations have been designed with reference to key elements of the 2020 Holiday Campaign — signature blue boxes and red ribbons — and include crystals, sparkling lights, fairy lights and raindrop icicle lights. Recalling the traditional Christmas tree of the Tyrolean Alps, the birthplace of Swarovski, the 15-metre-tall tree will be decorated with Swarovski boxes stacked around the base.
To commemorate the occasion, the Swarovski Ornament Set 2020 — comprising the Festive Ornament Annual Edition 2020 and two smaller festive ornaments — will be available exclusively at Raffles City. These delightful gold-tone crystal pieces are the perfect way to round out the year.
Penhaligon’s
Just in time for the holidays, the 150-year-old British perfumery presents the Brilliantly British Collection, with the Brilliantly British Eau de Parfum as its centrepiece. The exquisite scent combines hints of salted caramel and frozen lavender, the latter being one of the house’s most traditional ingredients. Bearing head notes of bergamot and lavender oils, heart notes of toffee accord and lavandin oil, and base notes of cistus resin, this is a fragrance that will entice you to forsake all others.
The Brilliantly British Collection includes the Limited Edition Quercus, Halfeti Holiday Collection, Holiday Cracker Collection, Gentlemen’s Holiday Fragrance Collection and Ladies’ Holiday Fragrance Collection.
Tarte by Cheryl Koh
Led by award-winning pastry chef Cheryl Koh, Tarte by Cheryl Koh opens its doors at Raffles City this month. As an exclusive opening treat, it will present the Gapyeong Korean Pine Nut Paris-Brest, a French choux pastry filled with praline-flavoured cream. Other signatures to look out for: the classic Dark Chocolate Tart and Strawberry Tart that never fail to delight.
All artisanal tarts and confectioneries are baked fresh daily, and the menu is in constant flux, dictated by the availability of seasonal ingredients. This means only the finest classic desserts are offered up to diners.
Tenjin
Set to open this month, this smart-casual Japanese concept by the Les Amis Group offers Hot Inaniwa Udon, a hearty dish that is exclusive to its Raffles City outlet. Known for its Tempura Donburi, Tenjin presents signature mains like Tempura Moriwase, Toku-Jo, Yasai and Jo.
For diners who prefer something other than Hoshi-Jirushi rice from the Ibaraki prefecture, hot or cold udon in savoury house-made mentsuyu sauce will be available as accompaniments to tempura. Don’t miss out on sides like Yaki Nasu (chilled eggplant), Truffle Chawanmushi and Horenso-Ohitashi (boiled Japanese spinach in broth).
