There’s something inherently romantic about the desert — roiling, sandy crests, undulating dunes, and sunsets beyond compare. That’s exactly where luxe luggage maker Rimowa draws inspiration from to create two gorgeous new colours for its Essential collection.
Consisting of travel luggage and accessories, select pieces in the Essential collection now come in Desert Rose and Cactus, two evocative names that recall a dusty pink sky and a stalwart Yucca plant, respectively.
The new shades — which are available in three different sizes: the Cabin, Check-In L, and Trunk Plus — are now available in Singapore.

Also new to the collection are a range of iPhone cases, which use the brand’s premium, iconic polycarbonate material and are made to match the two new colourways for an effortlessly coordinated look. The cases include a shockproof Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU) bumper, which provides a solid and comfortable grip, allowing intrepid explorers to traverse the dunes — both urban and natural — with confidence.

Befitting the suite of new products is an otherworldly visual campaign shot by experimental Taiwanese photographer Manbo Key, who brings his subjects not just to the Guanyin Caota Sand Dunes in northern Taoyuan, Taiwan, but to the brutalist-inspired Wandering Walls hotel in the south of the island. Together, the campaign unites these two disparate locations to make for a dreamy commentary on the current state of travel.
