01 | Patek Philippe launches a limited-edition timepiece to celebrate its new production building

New beginnings are always worth commemorating, and in the case of Patek Philippe’s new production building in Geneva, they’ve much to celebrate. And in traditional Patek Philippe fashion, they’re launching a limited-edition timepiece to mark the occasion.

The 1000-piece Ref. 6007A-001 Calatrava — with its broad cambered bezel in polished steel — comes equipped with a self-winding 324 S C caliber with sweep seconds and a handsome grey-blue hue in a satin finish. Meanwhile, its sapphire crystal case back comes decorated with the inimitable Calatrava cross and the inscription, ‘New Manufacture 2019’.

02 | Put a pep in your step with Burberry’s newest fragrance

Summer is here, and so’s Phase 2 — while we’re paring back on makeup thanks to the mandatory face masks, we’re making up for it by experimenting with some new scents — and the new Mr. Burberry Element is top of our list.

With its powerful base of mineral oak moss contracted against ambergris, Mr. Burberry Element makes for a uniquely earthy — but fresh — scent like no other. We especially love the spicy fresh juniper at its heart, which, over time, gives way to an addictively sensual green almond.

03 | Dior Men’s Fall 2020 campaign takes us to sunny Florida

We could all use a bit of a holiday, so it’s just as well that Dior Men’s upcoming Fall 2020 collection comes inspired by the sun-drenched spirit of Florida. Funky prints, tropical bucket hats, and the ever-recognisable Dior monogram take centrestage on an array of sharply-tailored staples — think constructed blazers, camp shirts and, of course, sneakers.

The campaign also features original sketches from artist and designer Shawn Stussy, a key figure of the 80s surf scene (and an instantly-recognisable name for streetwear lovers).

04 | Louis Vuitton’s LV2 collection finally hits stores

Remember Virgil Abloh’s upcoming collab with Japanese streetwear legend Nigo? We certainly do. Louis Vuitton has just released the LV2 collection, which fuses both designers’ individual approaches to style, revisiting the Maison’s entire product range from ready-to-wear pieces to footwear and accessories.

We’ve spoken about the fresh icons that the collection has birthed — including the Monogram pattern, now superimposed over their signature Damier check — but the standout piece from the drop has to be the quirky ‘LV Made’ duck. The graphic mallard appears as a collector’s item, on coin purses, and lovable keepsakes alike.
