The Hour Glass

01 | The Hour Glass’ new short film series profiles horology’s most noted creatives

The Hour Glass has debuted a new short film series on nine of the world’s leading creatives and artisans in the watchmaking world. The first film featured MB&F’s Maximilian Büsser himself, and included a live discussion about the future of horology on The Hour Glass’ Instagram page. The films — which will also feature the likes of Urwerk’s Felix Baumgartner and Martin Frei as well as Roger W. Smith — profile the journey of the cultural wunderkinds and document their dedication to their craft.

The next film will premiere next Wednesday, May 6, and will feature Rexhep Rexhepi, a Kosovan-born watchmaker that’s made a meteoric ascent in the watchmaking scene with his Akrivia atelier.

02 | Celine’s Triomphe Canvas bag gets a summer-ready update

Step out into a new season with Celine’s Triomphe Canvas bags, which now come in a bevy of new coloured trimmings for a more contemporary and youthful look. Bold colours and gold-work contrast sharply with the maison’s vintage black-and-ocher monogram, making for an accessory that’s both striking and timeless.

Introduced by Hedi Slimane in 2018, the Triomphe Canvas revitalises Celine’s historic monogram of a link motif inspired by the chain encircling the Arc de Triomphe.
