Exceptional timepieces are often said to be works of art — and with the amount of meticulous work and creative flair that goes into them, why wouldn’t they be? Audemars Piguet has just opened its stunning new museum in their home base of Le Brassus, a scenic village in the heart of Switzerland’s Vallée de Joux.
The Musée Atelier Audemars Piguet — which features 300 timepieces alongside commissioned artworks by the manufacturer — comes with a mesmerising all-glass structure that curls into a spiral-shaped pavilion, inspired by the spring in a timepiece movement. The said spiral also flanks the original workshop where Audemars Piguet was born in 1875, making the museum all the more poignant.
