The Men Can Get It Too
Gucci

Making sure that the gents also have new togs to look forward to, these fashion houses are creating noteworthy collections this Pre-Fall 2020 season for their male clientele to look forward to. From high voltage colour to new suits for the suited crowd, here are four collections that have us seeing hearts.

01 | Louis Vuitton

The key focus that spans across the three segments within the collection is creative director Virgil Abloh’s fixation on print. Whether he is interpreting the house’s iconic monogram or playing around with a colourful motif that is reminiscent of the funky artwork of the ’90s, prints and patterns become the mainframe feature in a collection that’s filled with luxury streetwear pieces that include baseball shirts, dinner jackets and harnessed white shirts.

02 | Gucci

In a celebration of ’70s-styled fashion, Gucci’s PF20 menswear line comes chockful with plenty of colour, textures and must-have separates. The suit for the season is a direct reference to the flared pantsuits from the disco era, but this time, Gucci’s Alessandro Michele has tamed it down with more muted colours. The bright shades of pink and blue come through in the casualwear, best seen in a hot pink sweater or a forest green letterman jacket.

03 | Ferragamo

Ferragamo’s Paul Andrew understands that today’s urban gentleman needs a wardrobe that functions as well as it looks, and that’s what he delivers here. In shades of rich oxblood and faded olive and blue, Andrew’s PF20 collection is the perfect proposition for today’s go-getter. Tailoring lines are sleek and lean, creating a more flattering fit, while Andrew incorporates luxe fabrics into sportier blousons so that you can rock up to work in a smart casual jacket without getting flack.

04 | Coach

Once we’re able to head out again, you can bet that we’ll be doing it in Coach’s Pre-Fall 2020 collection. A blend of classic American sportswear with Coach’s signature youthfulness, the collection loosely riffs on the idea of ’90s grunge meets camping wear. Hardy denim plays a starring role in many of the looks, looking sharp when paired with a monogrammed jacket or a supple leather overshirt. For those looking for something more dressed down, pick from the collection’s line of tees, polo knits and crossbody bags.
