Trust well-known auteurs, Tracie and Adrian Pang, both artistic directors of Pangdemonium Theatre Company, to add a twist to the plot when it comes to fundraising for the non-profit organisation. Instead of a regular charity gala, Pangdemonium’s fundraising night on 28 November was filled with delicious, raucous fun.

PangsGiving 2019 was what the team called a “deconstructed gala ball”, where they raised funds by inviting guests to dinner at 30 tables in 30 top restaurants, hosted by 30 of Singapore’s best-known personalities. Donations for the seats at top restaurants such as Kimme and Burnt Ends contribute towards the work at the theatre. The hosts ranged from Beh Swan Gin, chairman of the Economic Development Board, to paediatric emergency specialist, Jade Kua, and Singapore’s singing sensation Nathan Hartono. All the guests met up for a grand party at Zouk Singapore’s Phuture at the end of it all.
