The expertise of Swiss jewellers and craftsmen will be on full display at “Timeless Beauty,” a presentation of Swiss-made high jewellery pieces by jewellery brand House of Geneva, held from 6 May to 5 June at Scotts Square.
Organised by The Advocators & Co and supported by JeweLuxe, “Timeless Beauty” will spotlight a range of exceptional jewels, featuring gemstones from Ceylon sapphires of unparalleled quality to the purest diamonds set in gold made according to the most stringent ethical standards.
Based on the theme “time” — representing the eternal enchantment of high jewellery, the time taken to form the superb gemstones, and the stories they tell through the generations — the event showcases collections inspired by icons in the Swiss city of Geneva.
Collection Jet d’Eau, named after the fountain at the heart of Lake Geneva that’s a major landmark of the city, comprises unique pieces set with Golconda Type IIa diamonds — gemstones so pure they call to mind Alpine glaciers — and crafted from ethical gold.
Collection Vieille-Ville, named after Geneva’s Old Town, features jewels set with exceptional and rare coloured gemstones, including sapphires and rubies of prestigious origins, and fashioned from ethical gold.
Collection Horloge Fleurie takes inspiration from the outdoor flower clock in the Jardin Anglais and mirrors the symbol of the city with vibrant gemstones arranged in a dazzling pave setting.
All these works of art are the result of gemstone expertise and jewellery know-how developed over years. With a history that goes back more than a century, House of Geneva was founded by a Swiss family that had been in the gemstone and diamond trade for four generations.
From acquiring gemstones from Kashmir, Burma and Sri Lanka beginning in the late 1800s, the family settled in Geneva in the mid-20th century, and founded the brand in 2017 to showcase the work of Swiss craftsmen, with the aim of reviving and promoting the prestigious Genevan haute joaillerie tradition.
Along with a modern understanding and appreciation of social and environmental commitment and sustainability — evident from the brand’s insistence on artisanal gold mining and mercury-free gold extraction — House of Geneva is dedicated to crafting high jewellery that lives up to its motto, “luxury that makes sense.”
