Dr Caroline Low-Heah believes being generous is innate. The founding chairperson of Kidz Horizon Appeal has been helping others for a long time — she established the organisation in 2004, and it has supported more than 10,000 children to date. Read her story here.

Ken Khoo says men play a vital role in the treatment of breast cancer, even though under 1 percent of all breast cancer diagnosis involve men — they serve as champions for their wives, mothers, partners, children or siblings. Read his story here.

“I continue to empower the next generation of leaders.”

Inspiring entrepreneurship among youths can effect profound change, Jessie Ho-Thong adds. Her journey with Halogen Foundation began in 2013, and she was certified as a Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship trainer four years later. Read her story here.

“I want to help more stroke survivors in their recovery.”

Stroke patients in Singapore are a relatively underserved group, Michelle Lim adds. Together with Stroke Support Station, she supports stroke survivors after their discharge from hospital, which is when the rehabilitation process begins. Read her story here.
