01 | Refresh your wardrobe with Sportmax

For their SS20 collection, Sportmax is looking to the ocean for its inspiration — in particular, the sailors who bravely venture forward into the great unknown. What this translates into is a wardrobe rife with nautical influences. Billowy tent dresses recall the sails that unfurl in the Mediterranean sea, while the use of stiff leather harnesses to contrast silky blouses suggests a utilitarian approach to dressing up.

Other obvious nautical influences come in the form of stripes, fisherman sweaters and caps donned by many of the models, but the star buy from the collection has to be the roped sandals — comfortable and perfect for an off-duty day.

Available at sportmax.com.

02 | Set the mood with Omega’s his & hers watches

With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, have you decided what to get your significant other yet? If you’re still looking for a gift idea, a sure way to impress is to get matching watches, and Omega has the perfect timepiece for you.

For the ladies, the 36mm-slim De Ville Tresor watch features a lacquered mother-of-pearl dial, flanked by a curving line of diamond paving on each side. It also comes with 18k Sedna gold hands, a crown polished with red liquid ceramic and set with a single diamond and is finished with a nude strap. The guys can look forward to the De Ville Tresor done in a handsome navy blue. The 40mm model showcases a domed blue patterned dial and is powered by the OMEGA Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8910. 18k white gold indexes and hands, as well as a navy blue strap, serve as elegant accents.

Available at all Omega boutiques.

03 | Mark your calendars for the new Valentino collaboration

At the recent menswear shows, Onitsuka Tiger and Valentino announced that they’ll be joining together to create a limited run of sneakers, featuring hallmarks from both brands. Featuring the Japanese footwear’s iconic MEXICO 66 silhouette as the canvas, Valentino’s Pierpaolo Piccioli has rendered them in various fluorescent shades that include orange and yellow.

There’s also an all-white version (if you’re more inclined towards subtlety) and one that feature’s Onitsuka Tiger’s classic white-blue-red colourway. All of the sneakers feature Valentino’s logo boldly stamped on the side of the sneakers as well. The shoes are available from the middle of the year onwards, and we’ll fill you in on all the retail details when we get them.

05 | These YSL serums work their magic as you sleep

Given that a majority of us sleep with air conditioning at night, it’s safe to say that it’s paramount that you have a skincare regime that works. Enter YSL Beauty, with the new line of serums.

Called Pure Shots, the stars of the series are four serums that aim to address different skin concerns. Start with the Hydra Bounce Essence-in-Lotion, which blends vitamins E and B3 to prep and soothe your skin. Then, follow with the Night Reboot Resurfacing Serum — a lightweight serum that features 3.4 per cent of glycolic acid, a blend of argan and seed oils, as well as moonlight cactus flower, extracts to help exfoliate, smoothen and regenerate your skin.

Then, based on your skin’s concerns, choose an accompanying serum (or use ’em all) to cater to your needs. The Light Up Brightening Serum helps hydrate and improve dull skin tones thanks to the vitamin C and marshmallow flower extracts, and the Lines Away Anti-Aging Serum restores a youthful complexion. There’s also the Y Shape Firming Serum, which helps you achieve a visible lift to your skin. Finish with the optional Perfect Plumper Face Cream for an added dose of hydration and look forward to mornings with radiant skin.

Available at all YSL Beauty counters.
