It’s the holiday season, which means it’s the perfect time to break out your party looks for the next few weeks.
After what can only be described as a roller coaster year, the year-end holidays are a time for us to gather together once again to celebrate the close friendships, familial ties and loving relationships with those that we hold dear to us.
So as you busy away getting your year-end parties in prefect order, we’re helping you with one step: finding that perfect party look.
Several key themes have emerged from the AW20 season, all well suited for your next fete. Glamorous tailoring emerged on the runways of Prada, where a bugle beaded fringe skirt was worn with a sober knit vest, as well as in the form of latex leggings at Saint Laurent matched with a boxy blazer. Seen on Giorgio Armani’s runway, a fully-festooned suit makes for a quietly dramatic entrance.
Casual glamour takes on several forms: Givenchy’s black knit matched with a sequinned skirt was an attire mirrored at Tom Ford, whilst Miu Miu paired a worn wool bralette with an embellished skirt.
Swingy, dance dresses were aplenty, including a disco-inspired number from Michael Kors, a swishy festive black dress at Fendi, Versace’s silver minidress, and Burberry’s crystal-trimmed frock. Other gorgeous designs include 16Arlington’s fiery red minidress and Alexander McQueen’s silvered dress made out of individual embroidered pieces. But for those looking for full-on glitz and dramatics, look only to showstopping numbers from Richard Quinn, Loewe, and Bottega Veneta.
