Next in line to present a new collection via a destination runway show is Dior Men. After a fall 2022 collection that saw the fashion house presenting in artistic director Kim Jones’s hometown of London, the Dior Men spring 2023 runway show is scheduled to be held in Los Angeles’s Venice Beach.
Instead of keeping details of the show pretty low-key, Dior Men has announced that the spring 2023 collection will include a collaboration with American brand ERL. Founded by Eli Russell Linnetz in 2018, the laid-back aesthetics of the Venice Beach-based brand has already been favoured by the likes of Kanye West and A$AP Rocky. The latter famously wore an ERL quilt to the 2021 Met Gala — a look that quickly resulted in countless of memes.
Based on the teaser visual above as well as the fact that ERL is quintessentially Venice Beach, there’s no denying that the Dior Men spring 2023 collection is set to be one that taps on Jones’s streetwear leanings. We reckon there’ll be healthy doses of sneakers, skater references, as well as surf-inspired elements that will make up the Dior Men spring 2023 collection.
