Slipping out of the usual fashion week calendar to stage a show in London on their own schedule, Daniel Lee and company unveiled their Salon 01 collection for Bottega Veneta in a post-event video. Filmed during the coronavirus pandemic with strict safe distancing measures, the collection walked to a reduced audience that included Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Kanye West.
And what a show to behold.
Given that Lee has taken over the reins of the sleepy Italian brand and turned it into one of the most-wanted labels in the market, Salon 01 (which serves as its SS21 show) was a celebration of everything that he’s put down into the brand’s DNA thus far.
