Shanghai Tang launches its Autumn/Winter 2020 collection, Time to Bloom, an ode to renewal and spiritual healing. Created in unusual times, the pieces capture the spirit of flourishing amid adversity, celebrating strength and resilience, and looking forward to brighter days ahead. Key motifs include the bamboo and chrysanthemum, two prominent symbols in Chinese culture that are admired for their ability to thrive during harsh winters.
Bamboo appears in the collection by way of a jacquard pattern on the stretch silk fabric of a fuchsia open-back flared dress and the forest green shade of a maxi-length wrap dress, while chrysanthemum can be seen in prints, quilting and sequined embroidery. Not everything is a reference to austerity or toughness, though: rich textures and sumptuous fabrics abound, from velvet to felted wool blends, for a touch of opulence.
The Home Fragrance Collection by Shanghai Tang also welcomes new items that draw on the bamboo and chrysanthemum. By bringing nature indoors, these lend a delicate Eastern inflection to both soften and smarten. Bamboo, ideal for those who favour uplifting green scents, recalls the Yunqi Bamboo Path beside the scenic West Lake of Hangzhou and evokes reinvigorating morning strolls through bamboo forests during summer. Chrysanthemum, an autumnal, floral scent with spicy accords, is a nod to the Yellow Mountain and the yellow and purple blooms that blanket its slopes.

Adding a sprinkling of celebratory sparkle is Furla Cruise Spring/Summer 2021 Collection. For this festive season, the brand spotlights its mini bags, specifically the Furla Metropolis Mini Crossbody, the Furla Mimi line and the new Furla Miss Mimi clutch.
This capsule drop was designed to inject holiday shimmer in any festive occasion, with quilted metal leather and micro-glitter fabric embellishing key accessories and keeping them the centre of attention, while silver, deep black and a soft Candy Rose dominate the palette.
Set to become the brand’s next icon is Furla Miss Mimi, a series of bags featuring a soft rounded silhouette, with its flap closure’s metal cusp button bearing the distinctive upside-down arch emblem. The men’s collection comprises classic looks inspired by some of the world’s best-known vacation spots — the Hamptons, Cape Cod and Portofino — and suits all occasions from formal to off hours.
In the men’s Red Fleece range, which oozes a youthful aesthetic and playful edge, carefree exuberance is the order of the day, with bold cheeky motifs — coastal prints and designs depicting mermaids and marine life — and fun bright colours channelling the ambience of the Mediterranean coast.
