Dior’s crowning jewel
Dior’s latest acquisition is an exceptional diamond that it christened after its historical Parisian address at 30 Avenue Montaigne. Recut from a 150-carat rough diamond found in 2020 at Kimberley mine in South Africa, Le Montaigne’s (above) precise 88.88-carat weight pays tribute to the number “8” that has long been a cherished symbol at Dior.
Displayed in the new boutique for its inauguration, the intense yellow diamond shines with an incomparable clarity and brilliance. It will eventually be mounted on a custom-made piece designed by artistic director of Dior Joaillerie, Victoire de Castellane.
Fred’s force to be reckoned
French jeweller Fred, known for its nautical-inspired creations and modular designs, returns to Singapore after a two-year hiatus. Displayed at its new Marina Bay Sands boutique, also its largest Southeast Asia flagship, are new bejewelled creations that have never before been presented in Singapore.
One stunning example is the high jewellery variant of its popular Force 10 bracelet, made in pink or white gold with baguette- and brilliant-cut diamonds. The bracelet demanded 120 hours of craftsmanship and boasts a highly flexible structure, thanks to a specially made articulated link.
Bowled over by Tiffany & Co.
This year marks the 55th consecutive year Tiffany & Co. has designed the iconic Vince Lombardi Trophy that is presented to the champion of the Super Bowl LVI, which went to the Los Angeles Rams this year.
Artisans handcrafted the 22-inch (55.88cm) sterling silver trophy, which weighs over 3kg, using a combination of techniques that include spinning, silversmithing, chasing, engraving and polishing.
